With more than a decade of experience already under his belt, 34-year-old entrepreneur Philippe Vasilescu has built a name for himself in the worlds of fine wine and spirits, luxury events, and public relations. After spending the last ten years working in seven different countries, even serving as brand ambassador for LOUIS XIII cognac, the Paris, France native is lending his expertise with fine wine and spirits to a new company called CellArt in addition to his continued role as a private advisor to more than 200 clients looking to purchase high-end beverages.

What is CellArt?

CellArt, of which Philippe is managing partner, design and produce bespoke wine spaces for collectors, curators, and aficionados who are looking for something beyond the ordinary. “We refined and reimagined the world of wine through creations of extraordinary wine spaces, unprecedented art pieces, and wine objects,” Philippe explains. Particularly during a global pandemic, potential clients are looking for trusted services and experiences in their homes, so demand is high. Even so, Philippe says CellArt has no interest in risking the quality of their work. “We create a maximum of 52 CellArt spaces that we design and manufacture per year, worldwide,” he says. “No matter the demand, we resolve never to sacrifice to the pace of growth our artistic integrity, the uniqueness of our artisanal savoir-faire, or the freedom to always challenge the ordinary.”

Continued Growth

With such an emphasis on quality, and a highly-selective and rare element to their production, it might seem as though growth could be difficult. Philippe has the solution to this, however. “By keeping to only 52 CellArt spaces per year, we will need to increase the value of each every year,” he begins. “This will require us to diversify our market from individual collectors to private clubs or even large real estate development.” In his personal advisory role, Philippe is also selective, allowing no more than 50 new clients per year to ensure he can provide individualized service to each one.

Philippe’s Philosophy

As an experienced professional with a decade of experience, Philippe has acquired a substantial amount of wisdom from his journey. When asked what advice he might share with those just beginning, he offers something specific to his realm, but that would serve anyone well: “Both of my businesses require an extensive experience in the different aspects of the wine industry, from importer, to retail, to distributor, to fine dining and events services,” he explains. “Therefore, It is very important to diversify experience in order to understand where there is a need. The best advice is to not hesitate to spend a little time everywhere, which will help you to strongly solidify your experience and credibility.”
