Having friends that do not bring value to your life; on the other hand, it is a disastrous situation that if you are in, you should make an effort to separate from it.
In 2015, some friends (car enthusiasts) were enjoying their time, and they thought of an idea. The idea they created is now valued at $40 million and growing. Tuned in Tokyo, is an apparel brand that has grown so fast and is still making milestones. They aim to hit 9 figures per year, and with the growth they are experiencing, they know that they will get there soon.

Move Forward despite the challenges
While announcing the company’s progress, we had a chance to talk with one of the founders. He described how the journey has been tough but they have learned ways to move forward despite those challenges. When beginning, people looked down on them, saying they had no future in whatever they were doing. “I had to leave some things that I enjoyed behind to focus on Tuned in Tokyo.” he continued.
In the car industry that they were venturing in, was so saturated and barely any startup had a chance to shine. However, through their events, they ended up attracting many people, and finally, Tuned in Tokyo was traceable in the map due to its influence.
Additionally, they established a powerful footprint on all social media with a total fan base of more than 2 million on all social media platforms.
Focus on the clients first, the rest will follow
He advised the startups to focus on satisfying their clients’ needs first rather than the profits. The profit will follow you after delivering value to the clients. When they started, they filled a gap that no one had seen previously. As a result, they grew very fast and were often doing more orders than they had projected. They had to improve their productivity to ensure that they did not compromise on the quality.
Their mission, ‘to continue developing quality products that embody the JDM lifestyle and culture,’ has remained since the first day of operation till now. Their team has continued growing, but they embrace the original culture of Tuned in Tokyo.
