Meet The 21 Year Olds Running a Million Dollar Online Business!
Jesse McInnes & Walter Zanetti are two young entrepreneurs who have built a 7 figure business doing over 6 figures a month. At the age of 21 both of these young entrepreneurs were responsible for building a multimillion dollar company.
Jesse is also a 21 year old entrepreneur and investor that has started multiple companies since his early teens. He now runs a multimillion dollar digital marketing agency along with a cryptocurrency portfolio that he has been actively investing in since 2013. He has won multiple business awards over the years and is now focused on building a mentorship program to help other young entrepreneurs achieve the same success.
In this article we ask Jesse and Walter a few questions about success & challenges they faced as young Entrepreneurs.
What inspired you to become successful?
Jesse: I think it’s a combination of not growing up in a family of wealth along with a desire to have more and be more. I saw the mind was like a muscle and could be developed.
Walter: at a young age (around 16 years old) I came across videos and content through social media of people who had a life of travel, wealth and what looked like complete freedom of their day to day activities. I saw this lifestyle and began to research how it was even possible and I think that’s a key difference between individuals who achieve their dreams or don’t. Some would believe it’s not possible for them to begin with and opposingly others get inspired and have a desire to achieve that lifestyle for themselves, that was me fortunately.
What challenges have you faced as a young Entrepreneur?
Jesse: The biggest challenge has been having people take me seriously as a young entrepreneur. It’s not so bad now but when I was 16, 17 etc it was hard to have people take me seriously because humans have a natural tendency to think that being older means you know more. Another thing I have had a challenge with is choosing the right people to do business with as I have worked with several people in the past that either take advantage of me or do not have the same mission/goal in mind.
Walter: Surrounding yourself with like minded people is such an important factor to building a company or achieving what you want. Having a circle that doesn’t inspire you really makes the process a lot harder and that was a challenge for me, was finding others who wanted to break from the traditional path of university, employment then retirement at 60. To break through this in the beginning I need to make difficult decisions to really cut down my time spent with certain people who weren’t supportive and spend more time reading, listening to podcasts, going to business/investing events as even though you may not be directly hanging out with these successful people, listening and learning from there in other ways is key when your starting to work your way up.
What have you been able to achieve during your entrepreneurial journey?
Jesse: I have developed strong relationships with people I didn’t think I would ever even get to meet which is my proudest achievement.
Walter: Building not only a 7 figure business but one that has complete location independence and needs minimal time spent in the day to day operation has definitely been a goal achieved for me. Creating partnerships, systems, learning to adapt in a volatile environment as well as social intelligence are all key skills that have been developed as a direct result of building a business from scratch, skills that can’t be learnt in a classroom.
What do you do with your free time ?
Jesse: I play piano and love to read.
Walter: Spending time with friends and family is very important to me, I think not valuing relationships enough is regret a lot of people have so I focus on that. Mental and physical health is super important as well, playing sports and guitar helps me in those areas.
