Terri Coleman grew up in a lower income area and after battling adversity, was able to rise through the ranks of society to get to where she is today, through prayer, perseverance and family. The three successful keys to life that she often shares with her clients that require ‘creative financing’. The harsh reality is that more and more mainstream financial institutions will soon turn to this method of creative financing; meanwhile, this has hundreds of individuals reaching out to her for coaching and financial assistance. Terri’s mission is to teach and educate through her platform ‘Mindset to Millions’ accompanied with Global Key Capital LLC a winning strategy for a path to success and freedom.
Terri has also successfully managed an operations team that produced $150 million in volume month over month. In this interview we ask Terri a few questions about business & growth.
What makes you different within your industry?
I feel that I am different because I am real. There are so many people putting out false ideas on how they have it all together when the reality is they are common as butter on rice. With me, what you see is what you get as I am the one who will not just help you with your loan application but sometimes be the listening ear when you have issues outside of your loan. People are human first and once I tapped into that my clients became more than just clients I treat them as family.
How does your business help others?
My business is set up to provide creative financing for those that get turned down from the big banks and I believe that anyone who wants a home should be able to get one or have a path to get those keys to the home of their dreams. I assist clients with credit scores from 500–750 because everyone has different needs and just because you have money doesn’t mean you always benefit from traditional financing.
What exactly does your company do?
My company allows me to assist clients with finding financing for their property be it residential or commercial. I lend from the East coast to the West and several states in between providing FHA, VA, Conventional and non traditional loans to help my clients obtain property.
How will you continue to grow and succeed?
The growth I am experiencing is all because of my clients. Myself and my team believe that if you do good business more business will come back to you. I am grateful for a team that shares the same values as me. This as well will help our brand continue to be successful in this financial world of mortgages.
If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
My one piece of advice is STAY FOCUSED, so many people may come to you saying “someone is already doing that”, “you are not ready yet… You tell yourself when you go to the store how many different bottles of soda are on the isles at a grocery store. Just because Coke was successful didn’t stop Pepsi from creating a lane of their own. Be yourself and show your worth and stay true to what it is that you wish to do for your company.
