How Chris Cole Made A Name For Himself

At just 37-years-old, Chris Cole already has a lifetime of experience in building businesses and trading assets. He has been recognized as one of the top retail traders in the world by multiple publications, and currently serves as Bridging Wealth Opportunities, a financial education and fintech platform. Inspired by his father, Bobby, and deriving his go-getter attitude from his mother, Christine, Chris knew early on that he wanted to escape his negative surroundings. “It was an environment where Drugs, violence, and poverty were the norm,” Chris recalls. “I overcame these obstacles by realizing that God created me for a purpose. My breath was all the motivation I needed to go after anything my mind could perceive. I focused on controlling the things that I had control over and disregarding any other distractions that stood in the way of me getting there.”

Making a Name

In an industry dominated by those born on Wall Street, and with no mentor or formal training, Chris knew early on that his business model would have to help him stand out from the crowd. To do this, he waived set-up fees, a stark departure from the way business was typically done. “I didn’t make money if I didn’t make them money first,” Chris explains. With his foot in the door, Chris made his most famous contribution in 2018, shorting bitcoin futures which made more than $10 million for himself and his clients when the cryptocurrency crashed.

Continued Success

With his bonafides established, Chris continued his climb, breaking barriers along the way. He became the owner of the first Black owned forex and cryptocurrency trading exchange, as well as the first Black listing director of a publicly traded company. He worked as a bond trader for the top retail trading software company in the world, and currently has an ownership stake in 12 companies or businesses.

Sharing the Knowledge

After garnering such success from a start that had no mentor or training, Chris is eager to help others aspiring to his position learn the ropes. “ The focus is on educating students on building generational wealth and creating technology and platforms to help grow wealth while simultaneously educating,” he explains. But even in this new role, Chris continues to stand out in the same way he did in the beginning: by doing things others in the industry are not. “No one is teaching with the level of transparency and clarity in which I teach and trade,” Chris claims. “I trade a live account, with real money, in real time. I simultaneously explain the what, how, and why I’m executing the way I’m executing. Nothing compares.”
